There is something deeply elegant about a tennis morning that unfolds without urgency.

Last week we gathered at Kooyong for an intimate morning on court. A small group of women from our Kitte community brought together by a shared love of movement, tradition and good company. The kind of morning where the pace is gentle, the conversation easy and the ritual just as important as the rally.

Melbourne has been alive with AO fever and our home city delivered us a perfect morning of blue skies, and a gentle breeze. One of those weather moments that feels quietly celebratory before the day has even begun.

Dressed in classic whites, we played relaxed sets grouped by feel rather than formality.  With a little shuffling here and there we found our rhythm. There were missed cues, last minute adjustments and plenty of laughter, but the competition - if it could be called that - remained friendly, and unforced. Energy levels were high so we made sure our guests stayed hydrated and also enjoyed Iced Coffee, snacked on chicken sambo’s and cakes in-between games.

Kooyong with its storied courts and enduring sense of tradition, felt like a perfect setting. A reminder that style doesn’t shout, community doesn’t rush, and the most memorable ones are often the simplest ones.

A heartfelt thank you to local businesses  The Beauty Bar, The Energy Studio and Wanderluxe Sleepwear for their generous contribution to our gift bags. Your support means so much and added a special touch to our morning.

A morning to be repeated.
